TheRode Broadcaster is a premium large-diaphragm, end-address condenser microphone designed to provide the ultimate performance for broadcast applications. Its frequency response has been tailored for radio broadcast, podcasting and voice-over applications, with a rich, controlled proximity effect that has made it an industry standard in radio stations the world over. It features an internal pop filter to control plosives and a switchable 75Hz high-pass filter.
Combining a redesigned true condenser capsule, ultralow-noise transformerless circuitry, and an extremely durable housing, theRode NT1-KIT large-diaphragm cardioid microphone is well suited for high-resolution digital recording of vocal and instrument sources at home, in the studio, or even on stage. Plus, its bundle of accessoriesshockmount, pop filter, XLR cable, and dust coverhelp the NT1-KIT serve singers, rappers, and podcasters especially well. While the body of the NT1 still resembles the NT1-A, the mic has been completely revamped except for the mesh grille. It features Rode’s updated HF6 capsule, which is designed to provide a detailed midrange response with smooth highs and warm bass. The HF6 capsule is suspended inside the microphone using Rycote’s industry-leading Lyre system to help reduce vibration and handling noises. Also, with self-noise measured at only 4.5 dBA, the NT1 is an exceedingly quiet microphone. Since it can run on 24 or 48 VDC phantom power, the NT1 can be used with a variety of professional and entry-level XLR mic preamps
Although the body of the NT1 closely resembles the NT1-A, the microphone has been completely redesigned from the ground up, with the only shared component being the mesh grille. Rode’s design engineers approached the NT1 as a marriage of innovation and tradition, starting with the capsule, which is a completely new design. Codenamed the HF6, it is the perfect example of Rode’s fusion of artistic design approaches and cutting-edge manufacturing techniques, and features a sound signature reminiscent of the famous microphones of old while at the same time exhibiting extremely low noise.
It has been developed with a focus on detailed midrange response, coupled with silky smooth high frequencies, and warm, round bass reproduction to make the NT1 an absolute standout in its class.
The transducer itself is suspended inside the microphone using Rycote’s industry-leading Lyre system, minimizing external vibrations at the capsule level. The capsule is then married to high-grade electronics that have been designed to provide an extremely low noise level. The NT1 is an incredibly quiet microphone, measuring only 4.5 dBA of self-noise.
The NT1’s body is machined from 6061 aluminum and then nickel plated for resistance against corrosion. Finally it is coated in a durable, military-grade ceramic layer, using advanced electrostatic application techniques developed by Rode to ensure an extremely hard wearing finish that is resistant to scratches or marks.
The NT1 is supplied with the SM6, a high-quality suspension shockmount that provides isolation from external physical factors that may cause unwanted rumble and vibrations in the microphone. It includes a removable pop shield with two axes of adjustment and a telescopic arm for ultimate application versatility. The mic also comes with a balanced XLR microphone cable.
The Rode AI-1 is a studio-quality audio interface well suited for recording vocals, instruments, and voiceovers into your Mac or Windows computer. The interface features a single, combo XLR-1/4″ input with phantom power, two balanced 1/4″ monitor outputs, and a single, discrete, studio-quality headphone output and level control. The device can operate in zero-latency monitoring mode, which connects the preamp directly to the headphone output for delay-free performance while recording. With the headphone input engaged, the two monitor outputs are bypassed. To engage the monitor outputs, simply remove the headphone plug from the jack.
The rugged aluminum body is finished with a satin black finish and features large rubber feet, which prevents the desktop interface from sliding about when engaged. The class compliant AI-1 requires no drivers and features a USB-C connector, which not only connect to your computer, but also provides powers as well. The Rode AI-1 ships with a USB cable and a license for Ableton Live Lite.
