The Sirui Canon RF mount 75mm T2.9 Anamorphic 1.6x Lens enhances the theater experience by delivering vivid detail, cinematic bokeh, and artistic lens flares. Designed for full-frame cameras, this lens creates oval bokeh and distinctive horizontal blue streaks, imparting a dreamlike or science fiction quality to your footage. When capturing images in a 16:9 format, the result is de-squeezed to an anamorphic 2.8:1 aspect ratio, while shooting in 3:2 produces a final image with a 2.4:1 aspect ratio.
With a T2.9 aperture, this lens offers a shallow depth of field, effectively blurring elements in front of or behind the selected focal plane. The 75mm model is equipped with female 1/4″-20 threading for lens support, and its focus and aperture rings are consistently geared, similar to its 50mm counterpart, facilitating compatibility with follow focus and lens control systems.
This 75mm lens provides coverage for full-frame cameras with a wider 2.8:1 aspect ratio in 16:9 and a 2.4:1 aspect ratio when shooting 3:2. Use it to create crisp widescreen looks with exceptionally sharp subjects and soft and natural backgrounds.
The anamorphic design with a 1.6x squeeze factor creates a horizontal angle of view equal to 46mm on a spherical lens, making it suitable for general usage. Shooting with this lens creates a compressed look where objects in the distance seem to be zoomed in, making it useful for both close-up and longer shots.
Ten aperture blades create creamy oval bokeh, while coated optical glass elements help create the horizontal blue-streak effects typical of anamorphic lenses.
This rugged 75mm Sirui prime features a durable all-metal housing, a front 82mm filter thread, and a 1/4″-20 thread compatible with many lens supports.
