It utilizes a six-color Claria Photo HD ink system, which includes red and gray inks to achieve a broader color range and smoother transitions. Additionally, for general printing tasks typical of a home office, it operates efficiently with print speeds of 9.2 pages per minute in black and 9 pages per minute in color.

Several methods are available for media handling, facilitating the use of standard printer paper alongside more specialized photographic media. This includes a 50-sheet rear feed designed to accommodate thicker paper types, as well as a 200-sheet front tray that enables automatic duplex printing. The output tray is equipped with an auto open/close feature, and users have the capability to print directly onto CDs and DVDs.
