This kit from B&H combines the Manfrotto MT190XPRO4 Aluminum Tripod with the 494 Mini Ball Head and RC2 QR Plate. The tripod extends to 66.4″, folds to 22.6″, and weighs 5.3 lb, while holding up to 8.8 lb.

Manfrotto’s Quick Power Lock system allows you to completely extend the 4-section legs with just one hand. The rapid center column can be used in standard vertical mode or it can be swung into horizontal position like a boom. With the column in the 90 position, and the legs at their widest angle, the tripod can place your camera only 6.6″ above the ground. This is perfect for macro work or low angle shots. An Easy Link plug is built into the tripod’s spider for adding any of Manfrotto’s flexible or articulated arms to hold lights or reflectors. A rotating bubble level is included just below the ball head so you can view it regardless of the tripod’s position.

The 494 Mini Ball Head includes an RC2 quick release plate. It has a friction control knob that allows micro movements without engaging the head-locking mechanism, and a locking mechanism that will lock the head in both the +90/-90 tilt position and the 360 panning position.

  The Manfrotto 494 Mini Ball Head w/RC2 QR Plate is a lightweight ball head that’s perfect for smaller cameras (maximum load–8.82 lb). It’s got aquick-release plate, a newly designed friction control knob that allows micro movements without engaging the head-locking mechanism, and a locking mechanism that will lock the head in both the +90/-90 tilt position and the 360 panning position.

  Users should note that the single-lock design of the 494 releases both the 360 pan and the ball at the exact same time. This design allows for free, fluid movement but does not allow for 360 panning while the ball is set in a fixed position.
