Manfrotto PIXI Mini Overview

The PIXI Mini Table Top Tripod from Manfrotto doubles as a tabletop tripod and a handheld grip support for a DSLR, point and shoot, or compact camcorder. The legs are rounded on their outer side, so the closed tripod provides a comfortable hand grip. When open, the tripod and head have a maximum height of 5.3″. Rubber feet prevent slipping and protect delicate surfaces.

Fabricated from stainless steel and black Adapto polymer, the PIXI supports up to 2.2 lb while weighing only 6.7 oz. Its built-in ball head has a 1/4″-20 camera screw and a unique design that allows adjustments and locking with a single push button.

This version of the PIXI is made in Italy, the home of Manfrotto.

Small and strong. Used with smartphone clamp as a cellphone stand for video calls, desktop music player and display clock. Bought one for work and another as a base for my Insta 360 selfie stick. Push Button clamp makes adjustments easy.

Failed Shortly After Warranty Period, zero support from Mfg

This tripod never really held much when it was working. Recently I wanted to do some cooking videos and use my RX100 with it which it should hold. Well, soon as I pushed the release button the other side of the plastic exploded with a spring coming out. After several exchanges with Manfrotto support it was clear they weren’t going to do anything… I realize this is only a 20 dollar item but this kind of relationship with customers would lead me to never purchase their products again or recommend them to my students.

Works fine. Turned out to be too small for my desired use. No height adjustment, I thought it would be high enough and it was a good price.
