The optical tilt mechanisms provide meticulous control over depth of field in addition to perspective adjustments. The tilt-shift functionality of the 24mm f/3.5 lens permits the adjustment of the focal plane by an angle of +/-8.5 and allows for a parallel shift of the optical axis by +/-12mm. The tilt-shift component of the lens can rotate left by 90, with click-stop adjustments available every 30, while the lens mount can also rotate left or right by 90, featuring similar click-stop adjustments.

Constructed with 16 elements arranged in 11 groups, the lens includes two aspherical elements and two Enhanced Dispersion (ED) elements, which work to minimize aberrations and enhance sharpness and color accuracy.
