The HVL-F32M External Flash from Sony is a compact yet feature-rich lighting solution, ideal for mirrorless cameras and smaller DSLRs, as well as for users seeking a lightweight on-camera flash. It effectively combines power and portability, boasting a guide number of 105 feet at ISO 100 and 105mm, along with an auto zoom range of 24-105mm for full-frame cameras, which can be extended to 15mm using the integrated wide-angle panel. Furthermore, the flash can tilt upward by 90 degrees and rotate 180 degrees to the right and 90 degrees to the left, facilitating light bouncing for both horizontal and vertical compositions.

Another significant advantage of this flash is its capability to function as a wireless TTL controller or a remote flash, enabling users to arrange multiple flash units around a subject for intricate lighting configurations. The HVL-F32M features a detailed LCD panel on the rear for easy access to settings and includes a charge progress indicator. Additionally, this unit is designed to be dust and water-resistant, and it offers various synchronization settings, including high-speed, slow, first, and second curtain options. This flash is compatible with Sony’s Multi Interface Shoe but does not natively support the older Sony/Minolta Auto-Lock Accessory Shoe.
