Different from the original but still usable
Should have been same hood as 100-400 but it ain’t

Ostensibly this hood appears identical in every dimension compared to the 100-400 hood. But the bayonet mount is different despite both lenses using 77mm filters. Come on Sony, make some interchangeable and cross compatible parts. I much prefer the full coverage circular design like this over the petal shape used on the original 70-200 lens. So kudos for that improvement. But why not simply let us use the 100-400 hoods?
