This set of Auto Extension Tubes for Nikon Z-Mount Lenses from Vello makes it possible to capture close-up shots without requiring a macro lens, providing a practical solution for macro performance with less expensive, non-macro dedicated glass. Could not get it to work on Z mount Nikon, but then their customer support helped. Much appreciate the quick response. Works pretty good. Quality depends on the lens used.

Very specific use cases…

I can only get 2 of my lenses to focus with 1 or both spacers, that is my LUMIX 100-300 and LUMIX 30mm Macro. Nothing else will seem to focus with them in place. They also don’t feel very secure when attached, quite a bit of play. Hopefully I can find more use of them in the future.

Really enjoying these extension tubes. Fit and finish is solid, no flex when attached to the body. Came with caps and a little bag, which is a nice touch. Great way to experiment with a new genre of photography.

These seem like excellent tubes. They fit together and between camera and lens perfectly. Connections seem solid and I’d expect the mounts to last a very long time. As the product description says, they fully support AF and IS on my EOS R5. Highly recommended.

Cheap way to start macro

Always wanted to add macro photography to my adventures and this is a great way to try it out without spending the bucks for a dedicated macro lens. If I end up wanting to do it often then then maybe but for now these are working fine and take great photos while keeping auto focus if you choose to use it. Mainly use manual focus but find the auto focus to work well for quick takes.

Works, good build quality, but not as good as Kenko

Pros: + These fit nice and firm on my Z9 and Z lenses. Cons: – The build quality is good, but not as good as my Kenko F-mount extension tubes, however the Vello is less expensive. – No caps to keep it clean, had to buy those separately. Cost another $7 for a pair of generic caps.
