This Lens Mount Adapter from Viltrox is designed to allow a Canon EF or EF-S-mount lens to be used with a Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma camera with full electronic communication. The underside of this adapter’s detachable tripod foot is tapped with a 1/4″-20 accessory thread, providing direct attachment to tripods or quick release plates that feature 1/4″-20 mounts. For ease of upgrading its firmware, this adapter also includes a micro-USB port.

An excellent, well-made product. It works perfectly with my Leica SL2-S and Canon L lenses. Perhaps a little focusing lag but not enough to bother me. Highly recommended for those who want to re-awaken their dormant L glass.

Unfulfilled promise

The Viltrox lens adapter was my third attempt to mount my Canon L lenses on my Leica CL. Previously, I bought two F brand named adapters; both companies assured me their adapter would work properly. One of the F brandnamed adapter companies revised their compatibility listing to exclude the Leica CL. When I found the Viltrox adapter and saw the Leica CL was tested and found compatible, I pushed further and contacted the manufacturer’s agent who assured me their adapter would work properly. I bought it, got it and went to the Viltrox website to check on firmware updates. Their website shows no firmware update. The adapter looked and felt well made and its packaging matched the quality of the adapter. I tried the adapter on my six Canon lenses, all of which were listed as compatible, and none of them worked. I contacted to return this item and to ‘s credit, a return authorization was issued. I’ll continue to buy from .
